The state of Karnataka has released a new set of COVID-19 guidelines in response to an increase in coronavirus infections. Today, the state registered 4991 new COVID-19 incidents.
Classes from grades 6 to 9 will be suspended, gyms and swimming pools will be closed, rallies and dharnas will be banned, and cinema halls will be limited to a maximum of 50% seating capacity, according to a state government notification.
Dr. Sudhakar K, the Minister of Health, also tweeted about the new guidelines, saying” In the Wake of the second wave of Covid 19, new guidelines have been formulated to contain the spread of infection. I urge all citizens to adhere to guidelines & join hands with govt to defeat the pandemic.” He also added, ” get Vaccinated and continue to follow appropriate behavior.”

According to reports from Karnataka, 4,991 new Covid-19 cases have been registered, with 6 deaths, bringing the number to 10,06,229 cases. In Bengaluru, there are more than 22,000 active Covid cases.
