Bengaluru: Karnataka registered around 6,000 fresh Covid-19 cases and 39 related fatalities. This has taken the total number of cases to 10.26 lakh and the toll to 12,696, the health department confirmed on Tuesday. The day also witnessed 3,487 patients getting discharged after recovery.
Bengaluru Urban alone reported 4,266 cases on Tuesday out of the 6,150 fresh cases. The health department said in a bulletin that an aggregate of 10,26,584 Covid-19 positive cases have been confirmed in the state. This includes 12,696 deaths and 9,68,762 discharges.
44,756 patients are stable and in isolation in hospitals, whereas, 351 are in ICU out of 45, 107 active cases. The 39 deaths reported on Tuesday included 26 from Bengaluru Urban, 237 from Mysuru, 167 from Bidar, 157 from Tumakuru, 110 from Hassan and 102 from Mandya.
Bengaluru Urban district topped the list of positive cases with an aggregate of 4,55,025 followed by Mysuru which had 54, 603 and Ballari with 39, 032.
Bengaluru Urban also topped the list of discharges with 4,17,726 followed by Mysuru 54, 603 and Bellari 39, 032. On Tuesday alone, a total of 1,02,021 samples were tested and a total of 2,20,89,452 samples have been tested till now.
