Bengaluru: On Monday, the state witnessed its highest ever daily Covid positivity rate of 40%, up from 28% on Sunday. In Bengaluru, the positivity rate was much higher at 48%. But, it is not the city’s highest till now (55%).
Karnataka witnessed 38,603 new Covid cases out of the 97,236 cases samples tested. This indicates a decline in testing over the weekend.
Bengaluru recorded 13,338 cases, Ballari 2,322, Hassan 2,324 and Mysuru 1,980. There were 476 deaths from the state out of which 239 from reported from Bengaluru. The daily case fatality rate of the state stood at 1.2%. Among the deaths, 59 died at home and 20 were brought dead to the hospital.
