Bengaluru: On Friday, Karnataka logged 16,068 fresh Covid cases and 364 related fatalities. This has taken the total caseload to 26,69,514 and the death toll to 30,895. There are 2,80,186 active cases in the state, whereas, the discharges stood at 23,58,412 with the recovery of 22,316.
Bengaluru Urban reported the maximum number of cases with 3,221 and 206 deaths.
Till now, the city has reported 11,77,496 cases and 14,482 deaths.
There were 1,31,179 active cases.
Mysuru comes second on the list with 1,265 cases and 18 deaths.
Health bulletin stated that 974 infections were from Hassan, 857 from Tumakuru, 806 from Dakshina Kannada, 792 from Belagavi, 702 from Chitradurga, 636 from Shivamogga and 620 from Davangere.
Cases were logged from other districts like Dharwad, Ballari, Chikkamaguluru, Kodagu, Mandya, Udupi and Uttara Kannada.
10 deaths were reported from Kolar, nine each from Bengaluru Rural, Dakshina Kannada, Hassan and Uttara Kannada, eight each from Shivamogga, Davangere and Ballari.
1,50,610 tests were done on Friday which is inclusive of 1,11,002 using RT PCR and other methods.
Till now, an aggregate of 2.03 crore tests has been done.
As of Friday, 1.46 crore vaccinations were done including the first and second dose.
The positivity rate for the day stood at 10.66 per cent and the case fatality rate was 2.26 per cent.
