Bengaluru: As the lockdown scenario appears next door, the state of Karnataka fell into chaos. As a result of the state government imposing a 14-days lockdown on the entire state due to a high increase in the Covid-19 cases, the people are in a state of panic.
People are traveling back to their houses as the state falls into a 14-day lockdown. This lead to a fully-packed railway station, bus terminals, and even the highways. As the covid-19 cases are increasing at an alarming rate, the government took such a decision to curb the rise. The locals are flooding to the nearby groceries and markets to stocks all the essentials to survive this lockdown. This had lead to a supply chain shortage.
The government had requested people to remain calm as they ensure that there won’t be any shortfall similar to last year events. The government declared that there won’t be any sort of public transportation other than the city buses. These buses are provided for the workers in essential services. It is advised not to go outside without any valid reason. The time period for essential services will be from 6 am to 10 am. The government ordered the police department to stay vigilant and take strict action against the violators.
