“Public Interaction with the Bangalore City Police Department will be conducted on Saturday”

On Thursday, Bengaluru Urban registered 1623 new Covid-19 cases out of a total of 2523 from across the state. Meanwhile, the daily positivity rate increased to 2.32 percent in the last 24 hours, with over 1.08 lakh samples checked.

Udupi (145), Kalaburagi (100), Mysuru (89), and Bidar (89) are the other districts that registered the most cases (78). At the same time, 1192 others recovered from the outbreak, and ten more deaths were related to the pandemic in the last few days on March 25.

The Bengaluru City Police Department also has announced that the public interaction for this month will be held on Saturday (27-03-2020) at all of the city’s police stations. City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant has directed all police inspectors to be present at their stations during the ‘Maasika Janasamparka Divas,’ which will resolve public complaints.
Though Pant will communicate with the public at the Kamakshipalya police station, other top cops and Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) will be present at their respective police station between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. as follows:

  • ACP (East) S Murugan: Bharathinagar
  • ACP (West) Somendu Mukherjee: JP Nagar
  • DCP (Central) MN Anuchet: SJ Park
  • DCP (East) S D Sharanappa: KG Halli
  • DCP (West) Sanjeev M Patil: Kamakshipalya
  • DCP (North) Dharmender Kumar Meena: Rajagopal Nagar
  • DCP (South) Harish Pandey: Talaghattapura
  • DCP(Southeast) Joshi Srinath Mahadev: Begur
  • DCP (Northeast) C K Baba: Vidyaranyapura
  • DCP (Whitefield) D Devaraja: Mahadevapura

 

Residents will be able to visit police stations in their jurisdiction and get to know officers as part of the Masika Janasamparka Divasa (monthly public engagement day). They will also be able to resolve their concerns and receive updates on their complaints.

The interactive workshops were conducted on a daily basis by law enforcement and traffic cops, but they were halted due to the pandemic which will again start from tomorrow.
