N Manjunath brought back to deal with Covid-19

Bengaluru: On Tuesday, the state government brought back revenue secretary and former BBMP chief N Manjunath Prasad to the Palike for assisting civic agency chief Gaurav Gupta in dealing with the spread of Covid-19 infection.

The move came after it was reported that the state has transferred three BBMP chiefs in a year at the peak of the pandemic. As Prasad had contributed a lot during the first wave of the pandemic, the government might make him the point man to deal with the second wave along with Gupta. Till now no rank has been assigned to him.
