Bengaluru: As the Centre cancelled the CBSE board exams of class 12 on Tuesday, the Karnataka government informed that it will soon decide on the state board exams after reviewing all options.
SSLC and II PU exams have been postponed. SSLC was scheduled to begin on June 21 and II PU from May 24. S Suresh Kumar, the primary and secondary education minister said, “A decision will be taken after assessing the situation in the state. Opinion gathered on the preparedness of students, requirement of evaluation and other aspects will be deliberated.”
In the meantime, politicians from BJP we’re in favour of the Centre’s decision to cancel the CBSE board exams. Higher education minister CN Ashwath Narayana tweeted, “As always, the paramount interest of both the students and parents have been considered. Thank you PM Shri @narendramodi ji for the prompt action.”
“Health and safety of our students is of utmost importance”, tweeted MP PC Mohan.
