Bengaluru: On Wednesday, the Karnataka government designated 230 acres, 25 guntas at different locations around Bengaluru city to set up makeshift cremation grounds for Covid deaths. This is due to the increasing deaths and the crematoria getting filled up with bodies queuing up.
N Manjunatha Prasada, Revenue additional chief secretary said that the cremation grounds will be set up in 23 locations in villages such as Muddanapalya, Maragondanahalli, Mittasandra, and Gollahalli and sites spread across talks of Bengaluru South, Bengaluru North, Bengaluru East and Anekal.
