Someshwara temple, also known as Ulsoor, is the oldest and most prominent temple located in Halasuru. The temple of Halasuru Someshwara is devoted to Shiva, the Hindu God. It was ruled by the rulers of Chola and was later ruled by Kempe Gowda, who founded Bangalore. The Karnataka government now runs and operates the temple.
