Muthyala Maduvu – The Pearl Valley

Muthyala Maduvu, popularly known as the Pearl Valley, is a beautiful picnic spot on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The scene is about 5 kilometers from Anekal and about 40 kilometers from Bengaluru. Therefore a great getaway from the busy and chaotic Bangalore life. It is quiet and peacefully surrounded by nature.

The Pearl Valley lies within a basin nestled between beautiful hills, as the name implies. For those of you looking for a day’s break, Muthyala Maduvu is an ideal picnic area. The Pearl Valley is home to many rare bird species. Muthyala Maduvu is a mesmerizing waterfall and one of the main attraction of the Pearl Valley.

Muthyala Maduvu is a perfect choice for the trekkers, as it gives away a great view and a wonderful experience at the top. Monkeys are the one thing to watch out for, as they might be a concern.

When to go:
Mid-August and November is the best time to visit. The clouds precipitate during this time, making the waterfalls appear celestial. The mist that surrounds the Muthyala Maduvu is magical at this period. The November breeze will cool you down and the mountains will provide the best view.

How to reach:
By air, The airport is about 40 km from Muthyala Maduvu. Rental cars and buses are available from there and they will drop you off at your desired destination. By rail, Bangalore Railway Station is the nearest railway station and is about 43 km away. Buses and rental cars are easily accessible from there. The trip to Muthyala Maduvu is about 40 km from Bangalore by road and the way via NH7  is smooth.
