The founder of Bangalore, Kempe Gowda, created three lakes in the city, one of which was founded in 1537 as Hebbal Lake. This lake originated with the construction of bunds and the damming of natural valley systems. A substantial amount of money was also spent on its restoration in the year 1998 by imposing major improvements to its ecology and making it a tourist spot worth visiting. It requires constructing two artificial islands to magnify the lake’s beauty and to attract more birds. Therefore, both the vegetated islands have now become roost places for various water-bird species.

By hiring a personal cab like Uber or Ola or taking a local taxi or car, the most convenient way to reach Hebbal Lake from Bangalore Airport is. Also, as many buses run through this road, you can board a bus from the airport to the Hebbal bus stop. In addition, reaching the lake is the cheapest route.
