Bangalore Palace

The Palace is a fitting example of the flamboyance and splendor that the most resilient dynasties of India ruled with. The Palace, renowned for its opulent architecture and entertainment activities, is visited every day by many tourists.

In the year 1874, the building of the palace began. The job of landscaping the palace along with its surroundings was assigned to Mr. John Cameron of Lalbagh. In 1878, the entire building of the palace was completed. Exquisite wooden interiors surrounded by pristine walls are showcased throughout the Palace. The Palace’s most prominent features, such as the two-level granite framework of the fortified towers and turreted parapets, are directly influenced by the styles of Tudor architecture. The entrance is adorned with wide Roman arches.

The journey to Bangalore Palace from Bangalore Airport is long. Cab service is a convenient and reliable way to travel anywhere in the region. From the central terminal to Bangalore Palace, the evergreen BMTC buses depart.

Throughout the year, Bangalore has a nice climate. The atmosphere is still very relaxed and breezy inside the Palace as well as outside. One can then choose to visit the Palace during visiting hours at any time of the year. During the start of the spring season, the palace grounds look most magnificent from March to June.

The Palace’s schedule runs from 10 in the morning until 5:30 in the evening. For Indian travelers, the price of entry to the Palace is INR 230 per person and INR 460 per person for international tourists. At the Palace, photography is minimal. If you want to take images inside the monument somewhere, at the moment of entering the Palace, you must collect the token that allows photography. There are only some parts of the Palace that are open to the public, so be careful not to enter restricted areas.
