Bengaluru: The number of Covid deaths in Karnataka dips to 353. On Friday, the state witnessed 52,581 discharges which outnumbered the new cases which were 32,218.
The total number of infections till now is 23,67,742 and the toll is 24,207.
During the last three days, the state had reported 548, 468, and 525 deaths respectively.
Bengaluru urban alone accounted for 9,591 cases out of the 32,218 new cases. The city also saw 26,956 discharges.
An aggregate of 23,67,742 Covid-19 cases has been confirmed in the state. This is inclusive of 24,207 deaths and 18,29,276 discharges.
The total number of active cases was 5,14,238.
The positivity rate stood at 24.22 percent, whereas, the case fatality rate stood at 1.09 percent.
Out of the 353 deaths recorded on Friday, 129 were from Bengaluru urban, 30 from Bengaluru rural, 23 from Ballari, 22 from Uttara Kannada, 20 from Shivamogga, followed by others.

Bengaluru urban headed the list of most cases with 9,591, Mysuru with 2,355, Hassan with 2,071, Tumakuru 1,773, Ballari 1,650, followed by others.
Bengaluru urban also saw the most number of discharges with 8,04,056, Mysuru with 1,07,934, and Ballari with 65,389.
Till now, a total of 2,84, 53,442 samples have been tested. Out of this, 1,33,013 were tested on Friday alone.
