Bengaluru: On Sunday, Karnataka witnessed another biggest single-day spike with 34,804 fresh Covid cases which has taken the caseload to 13.39 lakh and 143 related fatalities.
Earlier, the state had reported its single-day spike on Saturday with 29,438 cases.
Bengaluru urban alone recorded 20,733 cases. The day also witnessed 6,982 patients getting discharged after recovery in the state.
An aggregate of 13,39,201 Covid-19 positive cases has been confirmed in the state, which includes 14,426 deaths and 10,62,594 discharges.
The total number of active cases are 2,62,162 out of which 2,60,670 patients are stable and in isolation in hospitals, while 1,492 are in intensive care units.
The positivity rate for the day was 19.70 per cent, whereas, the case rate fatality (CRF) was 0.41 per cent.
Among 143 deaths reported on Sunday, 77 were from Bengaluru urban, 16 from Ballari, 9 from Mysuru, 7 from Kalaburagi, 6 from Dharwad and Tumakuru, 4 from Hassan, followed by others.
Bengaluru Urban district topped the list of positive cases with an aggregate of 6,53,656 followed by Mysuru with 66,692 and Ballari 46,635.
Bengaluru urban also topped the list of discharges with 4,67,313, followed by Mysuru 60,499 and Ballari 40,443.
On Sunday, 1,76,614 samples were tested. Till now, 2,47,22,862 samples have been tested.
