Bengaluru: On Thursday, Karnataka witnessed its highest-ever spike with 35,024 fresh cases and 270 deaths, down from 39,000 plus recorded the previous day.
Of these, Bengaluru reported 19,637 cases and 143 deaths. The government issued a circular with guidelines for the syndromic approach towards Covid-19. Health Minister K Sudhakar said that this will aid in fast-tracking the hospitalisation of patients who have been tested negative and still have acute symptoms.
This will also help those patients whose CT scans show infection in the lungs but cannot get a bed because they do not have patient IDs.
