Bangalore’s many bodies of water have fallen victim to invasion. Luckily, one of them wasn’t Madiwala Pool. This is one of the largest lakes in Bangalore, situated between NH7 Hosur Road and Bannerghatta Main Road. It is also known as the Lake of the BTM. The scenic beauty of the lake makes it a famous place in the city to visit.
This body of water is almost 300 years old. It was founded by the Cholas, one of South India’s longest-reigning dynasties. The lake is thought to have been constructed overnight. The Madiwala word means washerman. The lake was mostly used in the old days by the washermen who lived near it.
Madiwala Lake is a lovely place to enjoy the beauty of nature in the city itself. The lake provides many attractions for a lover of nature. The body of water is distributed over a 114.3-hectare area.

Entry fee:- Rs 2 for children and Rs 5 for adults
