Bengaluru: On Monday, Karnataka reported less than 20,000 new Covid-19 cases and 411 related fatalities. This has taken the total caseload to 26.04 lakh and the death toll to 29,090.
There are 3,13,730 active cases in the state.
The day witnessed 44,473 discharges which continued to outnumber the fresh cases which stood at 16,604.
Out of the cases reported on Monday, Bengaluru Urban reported 3,992 and 242 deaths. The city had 20,332 discharges.
An aggregate of 26,04,431 Covid cases have been confirmed in the state. This includes 29,090 deaths and 22,61,590 discharges.
The positivity rate for the day was 13.57 per cent and the case fatality rate was 2.47 per cent.
Bengaluru Urban reported the maximum number of deaths with 242, Belagavi with 15, Mysuru and Shivamogga 13 each, Hassan 12, Bengaluru Rural, Dharwad, Uttara Kannada 10, followed by others.
Out of the districts which reported new cases, Bengaluru Urban witnessed 3,992, Mysuru 1,171, Hassan 1,162, Belagavi 910, Tumakuru 806, Mandya 753, Chitradurga 731, followed by others.
Bengaluru Urban headed the list of positive cases with a total of 11,63,229, followed by Mysuru with 1,42,851, and Tumakuru with 1,03,365.
Among discharges too, Bengaluru urban had the maximum number with 10,03,839, followed by Mysuru with 1,26,106 and Tumakuru with 90,505.
Till now, an aggregate of 2,97,36,960 samples have been tested, out of which 1,22,329 we’re done on Monday alone.
